Château, food, wine. Let’s go! Mouton Fou’s Bordeaux region 7-day culinary adventure is for travelers and foodies who want to be a part of a wonderful French cooking, wine tasting and cultural learning adventure in a spectacular culinary wonderland. Live the life you want training in the fundamentals of French cooking with a personal touch with two creative chefs and become immersed the cultural and culinary treasures of France’s Bordeaux wine region.

Explore bustling farmers markets in stunning UNESCO hill towns, and farm-to-table local ingredients. Go antiquing in a chic neighborhood and indulge in tasting some of the world’s best wines with the actual wine makers. Get to know the oysters and hospitality of the local windswept seaside. At night, retire to a cozy elegant home which happens to be a chateau.

Enlightening moments and pleasurable surprises are revealed throughout the week, creating memories and connections that will live on.


Day 1 - Adventure Begins

Arrive at destination via Bordeaux train station or airport for welcome toast & light dinner at chateau.

Day 2 - Cooking

We head to the farmers market make lunch, do a cooking class and enjoy the fruits of our labor in a leisurely outdoor meal at the chateau.

Day 3 - St. Émilion

Rent bikes, picnic in the vines and wine tasting with the owners of the oldest winery in France, the Gaffeliere in the magnificent village of St. Émiion.

Day 4 - Bordeaux

Antiquing, shop visits and dinner at a great bistro in Bordeaux's chic Chartrons district. Dinner at a fantastic bistro.

Day 5 - Bike or Kayak

Biking or kayaking in the dramatic Dordogne region. Outdoor picnic with local ingredients, cooking class and dinner.

Day 6 - Entre Deux Mers

Visit scenic Entre- Deux-Mer wine region, cooking class and lunch at the Haut-Bailly winery, then dinner by a local chef back at the château.

Day 7 - Seaside Apéritif

Visit Cap Ferret, a spectacular village by the sea, ride bikes to to our favorite oyster restaurant on the bay. then boat to Philippe Starck hotel, La Coorniche, for a farewell aperitif.

FIN - Before le depart

We recommend you stay at La Coorniche that evening. then easily catch the train to Bordeaux, or taxi to the airport. Return on your own schedule via Paris or London.


Fees

INCLUDED - 6,500 Euros includes six (6) nights of lodging at an elegant and tasteful local Chateau includes daily breakfast, cooking lessons, scenic excursions, vineyard visits with wine tastings, pre-planned group meals at the chateau and local restaurants and bistros.

NOT INCLUDED - Air travel and ground transportation to and from Bordeaux, a la carte alcoholic beverages and wines outside of organized meals, and hotels during your travel to and from Bordeaux and your location of origin.


Getting there and back

AIR TRAVEL TO PARIS, TRAIN OR CAR TO BORDEAUX - The easiest route is a non-stop flight to Paris. Take the 2-hour train ride to Bordeaux. You will be greeted at the train station or you can rent a car and drive to the chateau (3-4 hour drive).

PARIS HOTEL - We love The Hoxton Paris, located in the hip 2nd arrondissement. With its historical architecture, excellent bistros and open-air markets, the neighborhood is also within easy walking distance to many popular sites.

DAY OF DEPARTURE - The last day, we will take you by boat-taxi and drop you at La Coorniche. Should you choose to stay at the hotel, this is not included in the price. We recommend staying at La Coorniche before taking the train back to Paris to fly home.
